Celebrate Missouri Wine Chardonel month with featured tastings of our newly released 2023 Chardonel from Eagles' Landing.
Chardonel is a French-American hybrid of Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc. Though it can be seen in an array of styles, our Chardonel takes the classic "Burgundian" approach with neutral French Oak and a small degree of battonage to give roundness and complexity to the finished wine. Pear, yellow apple, and lemon zest give way to a mineral smokiness and dollop of cream over crusty bread. Pair with salmon in a beurre blanc sauce.
